Episode 48 - God and suffering: when you are asking why

Today we are continuing our series on the book of Colossians. The podcast discussion is centered around Colossians 1:24-29 where Paul talks about rejoicing in suffering.

Which leads us to ask: What is the correct view on suffering for the believer? Hint: God is sovereign.

We have to understand that God does not throw a three pointer at the end of the ballgame to win at the last minute. No, He is the Victor, the one in control each step of the way.

We all have gone through periods of suffering in our lives, or maybe we're in the midst of one right now, or we know that we're going to be going through one. We live in a world where there is a lot of suffering. Having a solid, biblical view of suffering can help us weather the storms with humility, grace, and strength.
