Episode 117 - Building a Stronger Faith: Key Lessons from Sojo Academy

In this new episode of the Sojo Show, AJ and Jen take us on a reflective journey through 6 years of Bible studies offered by Sojo Academy. In this episode, we invite you on a journey of spiritual growth, filled with beautiful insights, practical applications, and a few laughs along the way. Here, Jen and AJ discuss a few of the studies that have changed their lives the most over the past six years.

The episode serves as a reminder that even in moments of worry, worship can lead to profound transformation. And whether you’re a long-time member of Sojo Academy or new to these studies, this episode offers something for everyone, encouraging a deeper, more meaningful walk with God.

Worry vs. Worship: Jen talks about the study "O Lord, How Long," based on the book of Habakkuk, which she describes as a guide from confusion to worship. This study will encourage you to transition from a state of worry to one of worship, even in the most challenging times.

Overcoming people pleasing: AJ shares how the study of Galatians encouraged her to not seek the approval of people but to focus on being a bondservant of Christ. She also shares how Paul’s confrontation of Peter helped give her understanding into when (and how) we are to confront others in their sin.

The Gospel in Hymns: Jen highlights "The Gospel in Hymns," a favorite study that unveils the essence of the gospel through beloved hymns. Jen loves the role hymns play  in connecting us with the core truths of the faith.

Hidden Habits and Fresh Starts: AJ shares a few other impactful studies, such as the hidden habits of Christian women and the Fresh Start study, both of which provide practical tools for cultivating a deeper spiritual life. Jen and AJ share how these teachings have personally impacted their lives and how they can do the same for listeners. AJ then shares how the power of corporate prayer exemplified in the Lord’s Prayer challenged her prayer life.

Tune in to this episode for a blend of heartfelt reflection, spiritual insight, and humorous moments as we navigate life together. Whether you’re battling worry or seeking to deepen your worship, this episode offers guidance, encouragement, and a reminder of God’s transformative power.
